Foxx of course is at a much earlier stage in his career, but his stardom in each field is comparable in degree to the other. He has released only a few CD's, so he's nowhere near a 'Best of' stage yet.

1955. Then there are the musicals, of which this is the best. Others: High Society, Anchors Aweigh and more.

1991. Kris' best film. Settler Kris' wife(Kim Catrall) explains the truth of Jesus Christ to their Indian captors, rekindling her husband at the same time. A poetic adventure film from Turner Broadcasting.

My teen students are shocked when I tell them that Whistler in the BLADE movies was, in the 70's, a movie star equal in fame to Tom Cruise. But he was more of a charming star than an actor. He did however get a Golden Globe nom for this 1975 film.

A surprisingly good 1986 made-for-TV film with Kris and Johnny Cash. Surprising because usually the movie efforts of the supergroup Highwaymen(Cash, Kris, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings) were mediocre at best.

A 70's bizarre sexy film which increased his star status.

Foxx won an Oscar for his title role in this bio of singer Ray Charles.

This earlier role was also worthy of an Oscar nom, but it didn't happen(maybe too early in his movie career?). True story about the recent controversial execution of a killer who 'reformed' in prison and became a writer of positive anti-gang kids' books.

Dean's best film by FAR, and probably his best acting(though a few people mention CAREER, which I haven't seen). The claustrophobic jailhouse scene is one of my favorites in film, and I searched for 30 years to finally find his duet with Rick Nelson.(30 bucks at the time!!!)

As mentioned above, this was perhaps the best prime time variety show ever. A charming host, clever routines and first-rate guests. I miss Dino.

During the peak of movie/TV secret agents(Bond, I Spy, Get Smart, The Man from UNCLE, Mission Impossible)Dino did well with a pretty trashy(leery and obvious) movie series as agent Matt Helm.

A folk/country/Christmas success in the 60's mostly.
