![]() | The Flintstones - The Complete First Season
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $10.00 I know this was considered a cartoon for kids, but it started out as a sitcom and cartoon for adults, it would come on at night. Around 1962 it went to weekend mornings. Another winner from H-B, Entertainment at its best.
Ran from 1960 till 1966.

![]() | The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete First Season
Buy new: $14.49 / Used from: $9.50 The king of all southern sitcoms, there were others that came close, (Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies) but this started it off in the 60s. Obviously Andy and Barney made the show, but, there were other great characters on the show, it ran 1960-1968.

![]() | Gilligan's Island: The Complete Third Season
Buy new: $16.80 / Used from: $11.79 You either hate this show or love it. I thought they did a great job for just a 3 year run, 1964-1967. It had almost everything, you could actually learn from the professor, two pretty women, millionaires and... you could actually learn from Gilligan?.... and of course "The Skipper too", "Oh, Little Buddy! you've done it again"
Fun show with lots of laughs.

![]() | The Dick Van Dyke Show - Season Three
Buy new: $22.99 / Used from: $19.31 Was this the first well known sitcom that didn't show outside? (only on rare occasions, maybe stock footage or on stage) it was a smart show. Rob was played as the everyday average husband. Buddy the seasoned jokes-ter was fun. How many people have a Dentist living next door... that also works from his house. Ran from 1961-1966, great show.

![]() | I Dream of Jeannie - Seasons 1-3 [DVD]
Buy used from: $65.00 Now what man wouldn't want a beautiful 'Jeannie' around? Though for some reason Tony Nelson tried to get rid of her at times. He played the square type Air Force Major, that was humble, which made the show. Tony was not trying to trick her into the bedroom, just the opposite.
"Major!? Major?, why is a Bear in your living room?" have fun with these episodes. Ran 1965-1970.

![]() | Green Acres: The Complete First Season
Buy new: $20.99 / Used from: $4.50 Were you ever in a place where nobody seemed normal, but you? well, you had the occasional visitor from out of town and Oliver... "LISA!"...she actually fit in better. You had a hood-wink salesmen, a space cadet type
(Well, not really a space cadet, more like a guy in a jeep, ah, maybe a space cadet jeep, uh, well not really, more like a cadet jeep) another winner from the 60s, ran 1965-1971.

![]() | Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.: The Fourth Season
Buy new: $16.73 / Used from: $12.74 A spin-off from "The Andy Griffith Show"
it was a hit, that ran on Gomer's naiveness (but not stupid) and Sgt. Carters temper. loads of fun and laughs.
ran 1964-1969.

![]() | Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends: Complete Season 1
Buy new: $11.49 / Used from: $4.74 Do you think this was made for kids? it sometimes went over their heads, although many kids still liked it, adults watched it too. It had a couple spinoffs, but in all it ran from 1959-1973, so it covered 3 decades. It started out in prime time, then went to Saturday mornings in the early 1960s. A unique Cartoon.

![]() | The Best of Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Vol. 1
Buy new: $7.93 / Used from: $2.22 Also from "Rocky and Bullwinkle and friends" another great cartoon but too short. It deserved its own 30 min show.
Not really a sitcom, but certainly not far off.
|
![]() | Beverly Hillbillies: The Ultimate Collection, Vol. 1
