Highly recommended water saver
I researched the many different rain barrels available and became overwhelmed, but kept returning to this one. We were placing it in front of our home and wanted something attractive that would not distract. When it arrived, I was taken back by the color - it is definitely a brown sandstone rather than a gray that is pictured; however, it blends well with our new rock xeriscaping and I am pleased. Easy to install/set-up. The only problem we had was attaching a new flex spout to our existing downspout. Although the same size, the configuration was different and it took many choice words before we got it on and secure. How does it work? EXACTLY like you want. It is wonderful... We added a bilge hose to the overflow valve and that waters an extra plant. Easy to use and we will probably purchase another one for the back yard. Please note - the hose attachment on the bottom is in the FRONT not in the back - an annoyance, but not enough to make a big difference. Will review again in a year...

nice looking is about it.
First, Ill say these look great. nice decorative rain barrels. Now the bad, the spout isnt low enough to get all the water out. The overflow hose is very non standard and I had to modify a washer/dryer hose to carry the water away in case of overflow. Why not just use a standard hose fitting? Finally, the real problem is that the bottom got ruined after 1 winter and now leaks water. I drained most of it out before it froze but apparently they are too weak in the bottom and the seam failed. I own 2 of these and both have the same problem. Ill try to fix it but for the high cost they should be built to withstand more since all they have to do is hold water and now mine don't.

Great Barrel
Happy I selected this Barrel as it doesn't look like a trash can under the downspout. It is very sturdy and is easy to set up. Has a nice bottom drain needed for freeze zones. I only wish they made a larger one, maybe 80-100 gallons.
