Charming
This little jewel is great. It has a soft, melodic sound on the porch. It's a nice accent to any porch or yard.
Symphony in the Wind
This charming little windbell consists of three dragonflies, separated by three brass beads, a bell with a fourth brass bead as the knocker, and a wind-catcher. The dragonflies are 2-1/4" x 2-1/2", made of aluminum and painted blue-green to resemble copper patina. The aluminum bell is 2" tall and 1-3/4'' across at the base and again painted blue-green. The brass beads are ½" in diameter. The wind-catcher is made of plastic with a matching blue-green patina finish and measures ¾" x 4-3/4". The string which holds everything in place is black and 1/16" thick. The whole assembly is 19-1/2" long. The windbell gives off a lovely crystal clear sound. I hung it under my patio cover, right next to my other four windchimes. On windy nights, I just lie in bed, listening to the "symphony in the wind".
In conclusion, this is what I like about this windbell: (a) aesthetically pleasing, and (b) compact size--it fits in small spaces. This is what I don't like too much: it doesn't ring very much, even in strong wind.
Beautiful addition to any home...
I ordered this as a gift and when I opened it to see if I might wrap it in a different box, I knew I couldn't part with it. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's really lovely and the perfect size to hang just about anywhere. Mine is now hanging on my back porch. (I'll look for another gift.)
