The beautiful hand-crafted model is of one of the houses in Bath which was home to Jane Austen (1775-1817), writer of such classics as 'Sense and Sensibility', 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Emma'. She spent many years in Bath and the town featured prominently in her novels. The house which is modelled here is typical of the Georgian Palladian style for which Bath is famous. This is one of a series of fine Architectural models made by world-renowned artist, Timothy Richards. These models are made with plaster and other traditional construction materials including lead, acid-etched brass, glass, copper and gold leaf. Each model is individually hand-made in Timothy's studio and worskhop in Bath in England.
